Updating the gift amount of a Recurring Donation in fundRaising Manager 2 requires two steps; 1) change to the amount on the Recurring Donation Record and 2) matching update to the amount of the installment payment on the Stripe Subscription
Update in Salesforce:
1. Navigate to the Recurring Donation record in Salesforce to be updated and select 'Edit' on the top right
2. Edit the Recurring Donation Amount and hit Save
Note: this will only affect future Pledged installments
Update in Stripe
1. Navigate to Subscription record in Stripe
2. Open Subscription, selectio Actions>Update Subscrption
3. Update the amount in the Qty section. The amount is defined in pennies so adjust to number to match the desired donation. ie $10 should be entered as 1000.
After updating the amount, deselect the Proration button as shown below. Review the Summary box to confirm the next amount to be processed
Select update subscription at the bottom.
After completing the above, the Subscription in Stripe will be matched with Recurring Donation in Salesforce and will continue to be matched going forward.
