fundraisingManager uses the Form Configuration Object to define and customize donation forms.   Each Form Configuration record represents a unique donation form.

The fundraisingManager includes a convenient “Clone Form function, allowing a complete copy of the form to be made:

Within the Form Configuration is an Email Templates tab that contains records known as “Form EmailTemplate”.   It is important to understand that each “Form EmailTemplate” record on this tab represents a junction, or connection between an actual Salesforce Email Template, and the Form Configuration Record.  It also serves to define the role of this particular email template, in terms of Gift Type, and Language, etc.   The “Form EmailTemplate” Record can also be Cloned, which is useful when creating new templates from old.   The main fields of the “Form EmailTemplate” record are described below:

Critically, the cloning function (whether being done at the “Form EmailTemplate” or the “Form Configuration” level, makes a copy of the “Form EmailTemplate” record, but does not create a new actual Salesforce Email Template.   You will notice that the cloned “Form EmailTemplate” record will refer to the same Salesforce Email Template.

If a unique Salesforce Email Template is required, then:

1.Click on the “Template Editor” link to open the actual Salesforce Email Template in another browser Tab.

2. Use the Clone button on the Salesforce Email Template, and edit the fields as required to make a new Salesforce Email Template, and Save.

3. From the browser address bar for the new record, find the Record ID for the New Salesforce Email Template (in this case 00X5e000001CeQoEAK) and copy it.

4. Return to the “Form EmailTemplate” in step 1, edit the record and replace the ID with the record ID copied in step 3, and Save.

The new Form EmailTemplate is ready for use.
