Resetting User Salesforce Passwords


Resetting the passwords for users can be used to reset users that have lost or forgotten passwords.

This process is also used to allow users to set their initial password when getting access to your Salesforce account.

To reset a user (or users) passwords, follow these instructions. 


  1. Login as an Administrator, and enter Setup
  2. In the Quick Find search box near the top left corner of the setup screen, search for "Users".  Within the User category, you will find a sub-category also called "Users".  Select this sub-category
  3. Select the checkbox next to the user names / accounts that you want to reset, and select the "Reset Password(s)" button.     Users will receive an email (remind them to check their junk folder) with instructions to set / reset their password.
